IRONMAN 2009 in Cozumel! |

|
Cozumel island, which received a special award as "the island of peace" from the UN on 10th of July 2009, is now the selected site for the next IRONMAN, the first time in Mexico. Already more than 1900 athletes from all over the world are registered. |

| |
|
As you know, the IRONMAN is a superhuman contest, including 3.8km / 2.1mi of swimming in the open sea, then a 180km / 100 mi of bicycle race, and finally a marathon (42km / 23 mi). |

|
This contest will be held on Sunday 29th of November. If you have the opportunity to stay at the riviera Maya, come and encourage these athletes with the Cozumelenians, otherwise you will certainly have the possibility to see this event on your favorite TV channels! |
